Sanctions Awareness

A violation of a sanctions regime can have severe consequences for an individual and an organization.  Countries and entities that are subject to sanctions use a range of techniques to disguise their involvement and/or ownership in a transaction, asset or event.  A thorough knowledge of sanction busting techniques can enhance the capability of staff engaged to identify and monitor transactions and parties for potential abuse of a sanctions regime.

The sanctions awareness workshop provides training on international and local sanctions regimes with an emphasis on the techniques used to defeat them.

The workshop is of 1 day duration and the core elements are:

• Sanctions Avoidance Techniques
• Relevant policies and procedures of the organisation in relation to sanctions law
